The Union for the Recognization of Micronations Charter
Article 1
1:I- The purpose of this organization is to get the larger nations of the world (macronations) to recognize the smaller, and unrecognized nations (micronations). This is to be done through petitions, letters, advertising, and other non-violent means.
1:II- The official abbreviation is URoM. The official flag is shown at the bottom of the page. Our motto is "Because we're countries too".
1:III- To join the URoM, you have to make it available to the whole of the URoM, preferably by a post in the online forums, The: Head of state, and/or ambassador to the URoM from your nation, The Population of your nation, your independence day, your constitution or governmental organization and the date it was put into effect, and the land you claim.
Article 2
2:I- Any nation who joins the URoM is in the Council of Nations (CON), which is the main deciding body of the URoM.
2:II- Each member nation has either 3 or 4 votes, depending on population. Nations with 3-25 citizens get 3 votes, nations with 25 or more citizens get 4 votes..
2:III- This organization is to be headed by an Intercessor from a nation in the URoM. They must be nominated by a nation in the URoM. If no one has been nominated 2 weeks before an election, someone may nominate themself if they are from a member of the CON. There is a vote for intercessor every 6 months. There is an option to impeach them with a vote on the 20th of every month.
2:IV- The intercessor has few powers. They are the official international liason, so if the URoM has official correspondence with an outside nation, they are the official correspondant. They have either 1 or 2 votes, depending on if there are an even or odd number of votes already. They have the power to turn down new applicants if they believe that they do not fit the established criteria. However, a 2/3 vote from the CON can counteract this. They can officially call a vote. No nation can be kicked out if they decide that they shouldn't be kicked out.
Article 3
3:I- All of the decisions of the CON must be by a majority vote, including the votes of the Intercessor, except where stated otherwise in this document.
3:II- To kick a nation out of the CON and the URoM, the CON has to have a 2/3 vote, and the Intercessor must not disagree. A nation may be kicked out for unruly conduct, uncalled for insults or hostility, or no longer fitting the requirements of being a member. A member may decide that they no longer want to be so.
3:III- the URoM may collaborate with otherr organizations, Micronational, Macronational, both, or otherwise, as well as nations. This is to be handled by the intercessor as well.
3:III- To change the charter you need a 2/3 majority
3:IV- Nothing in this charter may be waved by anyone, up to and including a unanimous vote of the CON. It may be changed, but nothing can be ignored.
